Movie synopsis for Thudikkum Karangal: A YouTuber gets into difficulties after attempting to assist an elderly man who is looking for his son. Can he get out from under it?
Review of the film Thudikkum Karangal: Thudikkum Karangal is a typical action-crime drama that follows the tried-and-true pattern of a protagonist solving the murder of an innocent young victim and exposing the perpetrators. The movie is decently created, but it doesn't quite convey the heart-pounding intensity that is usually associated with this genre. The audience can find itself excitedly expecting the movie's ending rather than being totally invested and pulling for the hero.
Vetri, a YouTuber with the username Kothu Poratta, frequently causes issues by exposing social injustices. He runs upon an elderly man who is looking for Sameer, his son. Through his channel, Vetri offers the elderly man his assistance and pledges to assist him in finding his missing son.
In parallel, we get to see how the daughter of IG Devendran (Suresh Menon) is being investigated for a murder.
He has no idea that the subsequent events will only make his life more difficult. He discovers that this enigmatic murder case is also tied to the life of the young person he is looking for. In addition to earning the anger of a notorious gangster and other anti-social characters, Vetri's meager assistance forces him to reveal the organization responsible for the crime.
A police officer's (Soundararaja) probe into the murder of the IG's daughter sets the grim tone for Thudikkum Karangal from the outset. The narrative becomes confusing at 15 minutes in when the movie diverts to Vemal's love life before returning to the Mafia story. It is difficult to understand the story's main motivation because of these abrupt tonal changes.
Due to pointless songs and battle scenes that impede the plot's development, the movie has pacing problems. The old man's son's (Ananth Nag) flashback scenes, which show how his life is disintegrating, do, however, offer some intrigue. Unfortunately, these components fall short of giving the movie a strong sense of unity.
Although Soundararaja has received little screen time, he has done a good job as a police officer looking into the case. Additionally, Suresh Chandra Menon gave a strong showing. Throughout the entire movie, Sathish travels with Vemal, but none of his one-liners are funny.
There are few instances in the movie where the cinematography and music could have been better. The second half is somewhat predictable as well.
