The new Google Pixels won't be out for another month or so, but it seems Google could not contain its excitement. In classic "Google" fashion, the company previewed not just the two next Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, but also the Pixel Watch 2 a month in advance.
The unveiling date is revealed for a second time in the teaser video "The W8 is Almost Over." The Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 will launch on October 4, and Google was not ashamed to display them. All three of them have an air of déjà vu.
We catch a glimpse of the Pixel 8 in "Rose" color in a 23-second film. The metal rails and camera visor look to have a matte texture. The Pixel 8 Pro is then displayed in the same porcelain shade as before, with the same glossy finish on the rails, visor, and temperature sensor. The Pixel 8 is smaller and appears slightly smaller in the video. We were unable to view the would-be flat screen of the Pro because the film does not show the front of the two phones.
Although the sneak peek video just gives a brief glimpse of the hardware, rumors suggest that the two phones may include a newer chip, better cameras, and a better display, among other improvements.
In India, pre-orders for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will start on October 5.
The Pixel Watch may be seen with the same appearance as before.
The teaser also shows what appears to be the Pixel Watch, however it could perhaps be the second-generation model given that they are said to be almost identical. At first sight, we can notice a smartwatch with a tan band, a sleek domed display, and a spinning crown. Therefore, if that is the Pixel Watch 2, the design may undergo significant alterations.
The Pixel Buds Pro was also briefly visible; it appears to be in a new color that is similar to the porcelain color of the Pixel 8 Pro.
On October 4, Google will reveal the Pixel 8 line and the Pixel Watch 2.
